3rd Trimester Pregnancy Workout & 34 Week Update34 weeks baby bump

34 weeks and only 6 to go until my due date!!  I am so ready, lol.  It is starting to get uncomfortable and I am looking forward to holding baby William in my arms.  This week William is about 5 pounds and the amniotic fluid is at its highest.  So, from here on out William will be taking up more room and the fluid volume will remain the same and this means I will be able to feel and see him even more. Most babies gain a half a pound week from now until birth.

Braxton Hicks Contractions

I have been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions the past couple of weeks on a regular basis and especially during workouts. This is when the uterus tightens up and it is like a hard bowling ball when you touch it.  They are not painful and it is the bodies way of preparing itself for birth.  Speaking of birth we are starting birthing class May 5!  Yikes!!  I am excited to have him, but so nervous and scared of the pain.  It will all be worth it.

Pelvic Girdle Pain & Heart Burn

I am also still experiencing pelvic girdle pain along with heart burn at night.  Sitting up while sleeping is not the most comfortable way to fall asleep, but it is better than experiencing acid reflux in the middle of the night .  Also, avoiding a big meal in the evening is important.

One of my go to breakfasts to have while pregnant is oatmeal with raspberries, almonds and Truvia.  I normally eat 1/2 cup (measured dry) oats with a handful of raspberries and nuts.  I always drink 16 oz. of water before breakfast.
